Behind the lens

What started as a hobby seems to be growing into a small and un-lucrative business.... just as well I do it for love. Photography really became an interest for me when I started travelling. Not so much because I wanted happy snaps, but more because I wanted to convey what I was seeing to other people. Most of the photos here at mangofoto reflect that in some way. A picture may paint a thousand words, but even that is not enough to explain some of the bizarre situations I've found myself in whilst travelling and photographing around the world. I'll get around to putting some of that stuff to paper (or pixels??) sometime in the future... for those with nothing better to read.

Behind these pictures

Initially most of the pictures here were essentially about either travel or capturing the "essence" of some place. With some recent assignments, an expansion of creative interest and a new lens needing some breaking in, that has expanded into nature, wild-life, portrait and some sports photography. The photos here get updated on a regular basis.

Behind the website

Not being able to leave well-enough alone, in addition to taking photos, I thought it would be nice to build my own website... I now know better. This is the first site upgrade in over a year, but the new changes have made the site considerably easier to maintain and update (at least from the perspective of adding new photos), so stay tuned. At least for the time being, the news section on the site's homepage will list any recently completed work and also things that are in the pipeline.
